The handcrafted feel is obvious as soon as you unpack it — the shade has a lovely solid weight. It throws just the right amount of light for my reading chair without flooding the whole room.
The way the light casts a warm, soft glow through the linen shade completely changed the feel of my reading corner. I was surprised how solid the marble base feels, keeping it stable even when bumped by the cat. Exactly the warm, indirect light I needed.
The light output is perfect for reading without being too harsh, though I wish the switch was placed a bit lower on the stem. The handcrafted quality is evident in the smooth finish.
